With the paper masking removed, you can see that I have left the vinyl tape still attached. Before removing the tape, 600 grit paper is sanded over the top of the tape until I have a clean edge on the outside of the tape. (the outside is where the paint build-up is.) This will ensure that I will not have any problem in damaging the paint edge.
